The plot is that pyroterrorists are wanting to bring death and destruction by setting forest fires all over the world. The group that is in America must be stopped before it is too late. The answer may lie in forming a group of specially trained firefighters. The work is dangerous and deadly as these characters not only have to fight the fire, but they also have to be aware that other folks with deadly intentions are lying in wait for them. The group is formed by Senator Jacob Sensor who appears to be playing both sides of the fence for his sole political gain.
The group’s leader is Cory Cantwell whose background makes him the perfect leader of a fighting force. The various members of his group come from all walks of life and with vast backgrounds of experience. One of the other main members of the group is named Sarah Milano. Her job is to act as the go-between the senator and Cory. However, there is more to Sarah than meets the eye when she is kidnapped without a hope of escape.
The novel is high octane, nonstop action and mystery! The race to stop the evil intent of a radical group never lets up until the very end of the book. I enjoyed the banter among Cory Cantwell’s team and the way they looked out and for each other. I recommend reading and enjoying the newest Johnstone thriller, as it is original and well written.
